When I bought the skin, you stated that changes could be made for free, I`m prepared to pay for the changes, I understand its not a quick simple job to change it. Ive been trying to get this sorted with you guys for over 6 weeks now

Is it the case that you simply are not prepared to change it because its to much work, if so just please let me know, then I can organise something else, I`m way behind with the site now as I`ve been holding back until the header was sorted

If you are not able to help me will you allow someone else to carry out the work ?

The only thing being changed is the header image nothing else

Very sorry to hear that, I hope everything is now ok for all of you. I`m sorry if i came over "arsey" but I have been really keen to get the site finished as you can imagine.

Ok so I guess I need to know from you guys, what size would the image need to be that we supply to you. I would like to try to keep the detail that is on the edges of the banner on the site as it looks good.

Is there a way for me to just upload over the original skin that won`t interfere with my site or will I have to start again and reskin it ? I`m praying tis not the later one !

Anyway let me know were we go from here, I really want the site changed so people that are viewing with 1440 x 900 and above don`t have to scroll to see the site, anyone below that resolution I`m not bothered about. If that is too difficult then 1680 x 1050 and above would be ok

I've finished the header. I'm just testing it a bit, to make sure there aren't any bugs. Once it is done I'll send you it via a private message.

Hi Max,

In firefox the skin is perfect, in internet explorer the forum breaks slightly in one place. Is there a way to easily fix this ? People that are using Internet Explorer keep emailing me to tell me the skin is broken in the forum.

I understand the easiest fix is to use Firefox but wondered whether it is possible to make the skin display properly in Internet Explorer as well. I`ve attached an image to show you what I mean

I am interested in a new skin, not just yet, but in about 3 months, again for Evo Extreme. I would like a unique skin. Can you tell me how much this would be ?

I understand any price you give me would literally be a rough "guess" for now but it gives me a chance to consider my options

Well Okay that bug needs some work it shouldn't be to hard to fix, okay go to http://www.maxnexius.com/ and select CD-BattleZone as the theme on the right drop down menu. Tell me is that how you wanted the theme?

The custom theme your asking for is gonna be starting at $40 usd and up from there depending on what you want on it. The highest it'll go is most likely $100 usd I think. It could be lower, and probally is. This is very rough on the estimate side.

I`ve taken a look. Ive tried a few resolutions

Can you tell me what is the lowest Resolution that site can be viewed in without having to move the screen left and right ?

Also can you tell me the size of the image space as well so 900 x 1000 or what ever it is

We are nearly there with this really appreciate your service

The lowest is 1680 as the width and whatever the height is I don't recall at the moment.

The dimensions for the blank header image is 1514px x 145px

The file is header_11.png.

Ok I`ve had a good look at this, I`m happy with it but have a slight concern, that some people on a resolution 1 or 2 down from the design minimum resolution may not use the site as they have to scroll around.

I think the best thing to do is go ahead with this as it is, but if I have a problem I`ll come back to you guys and work something out with you if thats ok.

To Finish off I have these questions :

Can you tell me how I disable or swap the sound file for the hover over ?

Were is the file located and do I simply upload a new file in the same format ?

With the MP3 player, can I put more then one tune in the folder, if so is it limited to a particular number or is it limited only by drive space on the web server. What is the location of the MP3 folder, and if i want the name to display when the track is playing how can i do this ?

I run 1900 x 1200 and theres a large gap at the sides before the background image starts

Is there anyway to get more of the background showing on the high end resolutions ?

Last one.....is the internet explorer forum break fixed now ?

ok for me to really work on this theme to fully customize that it can be correct with the standards that your asking i'm going to have to work on it and redo the psd but like i told you there is a charge and it may cost you and it can be done but for me to do so i'm going to need time that i can get the psd lined up plus when purchasing the theme on commercial and i know people that purchased the theme and not have any problems with it. the forums i know there is a file that i fixed i just have to find it Crysis-Design had been though some changes after that theme was released so it may have been lost which isn't a big deal i just have to find it and if your designer wants to send me the logo i can put it in the theme as well i may not have to change the theme just the fix and recoding one part of the header but it's all up to you of what you want to do.. Shocked

Some of the things I can do myself no worries, like swapping the sound file for the hover over, the MP3 player i.e. adding extra tracks I`m not sure whether this is possible, or whether a different player would have to be used ?

The header image is being supplied by my designer, I gave him the dimensions 1514px x 145px provided by Max so he is working on that at the moment, but he has asked the question what format the image needs to be in, he would like to use some moving parts to the image and asked whether using an FLA header is possible, can it be set to fla and png ? In case we want to swap banners 6 months down the line ?

The background on 1900 x 1200 would be good if it filled the gap shown in my last post

And yes if that break could be fixed it would be excellent. The theme itself kicks ass, very well designed. I just want to iron out these liittle points for myself and as far as I`m concerned its perfect. The other plus point is you`ll have a version of the theme for people that want to add there own fixed header, plus no break in the forums when viewing I.E.

I would like you to carry out the work, and have no problem with making payment to you for the work, but need to know what sort of money your talking

i don't know what format max did it but if you right click the image and go to property it should tell you but you can check the theme on my demo site the link is DEMO and the fixes are in the shop in your account

I did a png format. you can add a flash header if you'd like, just make sure that the blank header background stays other wise it'll look crappy.
